Every profile states whether it is a public-source listing, community recommended, producer confirmed, or producer self-identified. These labels are not interchangeable.

Blue Dot Farms combines attributed public business information, privately reviewed community experience, and voluntary producer confirmation. These standards explain what each evidence label does—and does not—mean.
Read the process ↓Public-source listings
Basic public business information may be listed with the original source and last-checked date before a producer claims the profile. The producer can correct, claim, or remove it.
Community reports stay private
A firsthand visit or purchase enters private review. Only an aggregate recommendation count and most recent month may appear publicly after review.
Producer confirmation
A producer-confirmed profile means the business representative confirmed the public information. It does not certify products, practices, politics, or food safety.
Public facts only
Profiles use public business information and producer-provided details. Private contact information, submitter identities, and moderation notes are not published.
No political dossiers
We do not use voter records, FEC contributor data, inferred voting histories, or private political scores to classify producers. A producer’s direct public statement, public candidacy, or official biography may document voluntary public self-identification; it is never treated as private voting history.
Clear boundaries
A listing is not a political certification, food-safety certification, legal guarantee, or Blue Dot Farms endorsement. Buyers should confirm claims and transaction terms directly.
Corrections and removal
Producers and community members may submit corrections or removal requests. We record when public information was last checked and review material changes.
What values mean here
People describe themselves. We do not guess.
When values or practices appear in a profile, they come from the producer’s voluntary statements or documented public claims. Organizational membership, location, certification, or a community referral is never converted into an assumed political identity.
